Wellbeing program for homeschooling girls

An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Monday, happening 8 times
In this Wellbeing program we focus on important life skills while making positive connections with peers. The intention for this is course is to increase confidence and wellbeing for homeschooling teen/pre-teen girls. Term 3 topics were: -Confidence & Making Friends -Resilience & Inner Strength -Shining Online (Online Safety) -Self Awareness & Self Esteem -Mindfulness -Self Compassion -Growth mindset -Positive body image Term 2 lesson topics were: -Social skills and meeting new people -Identity, uniqueness and strengths -Confidence -Positive friendships and friendship boundaries -Self care -Working with stress and anxiety -Gratitude -Goal setting and motivation All topics are underpinned by the core values of growth mindset, resilience, metacognition and personal growth. All activities are done in a supportive way and are non-competitive. Classes include three elements: ● Movement – including Yoga, Yoga Therapy exercises and Dance ● Mindfulness – including Meditation, Breathing techniques and Relaxation ● Mindset – every class has a different theme (see above) Bring to class: -Yoga/other exercise mat -Water bottle -(Optional) Some people also like to bring props or items (e.g. small pillow or cushion, blanket) to make them feel more comfortable during our relaxation sessions.
